PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing aγ-nitrocarbonyl compound by which a diastereoselectively and enantioselectively controlled production of theγ-nitrocarbonyl compound is possible in a reaction of a silyl nitronate with anα,β-unsaturated ketone compound. SOLUTION: The method for producing theγ-nitrocarbonyl compound includes a process in which the silyl nitronate of formula (I) is reacted with theα,β-unsaturated ketone in the presence of an optically active quaternary ammonium bifluoride expressed by formula (III) or the like to obtain an optically active enol silyl ether, which is subsequently desilylated.
