PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oil leakage from a jointing section between an axle housing and a final reduction gear. SOLUTION: In a final reduction gear mounting structure for the axle housing for connecting a flange 20A of the final reduction gear 20 to a ring 14 of the axle housing 10, a generally circular projection 14A projecting in a direction of the final reduction gear 20 apart a predetermined distance from the outer circumference face of the flange 20A is formed on a face of the ring 14 to which the flange 20A is connected. Liquid gasket 30 is respectively applied to between abutment faces of the ring 14 and the flange 20A, and between the inner circumference face of the projection 14A and the outer circumference face of the flange 20A. Accordingly, the liquid gasket 30 interposed between the inner circumference face of the projection 14A and the outer circumference face of the flange 20A is several times as thick as the gasket 30 interposed between the abutment faces of the ring 14 and the flange 20A, thereby enabled to sufficiently follow the relative displacement between the axle housing 10 and the final reduction gear 20.
