<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor and a stepping motor drive circuit, capable of improving reliability by restraining generation of heat in a stepping motor drive IC and the stepping motor, capable of realizing cost reduction by size reductions in a heat sink for heat radiation and the stepping motor. <P>SOLUTION: This stepping motor drive circuit, having a constant-current control function of PWM control or the like, performs current switching for the stepping motor, corresponding to the magnitude of a load of the stepping motor to select an appropriate current value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
