<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mounting structure especially of a reinforcing member of a burst opening part in an air bag device for an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: In the air bag device for the automobile, the back surface side corresponding to an opening peripheral region of the burst opening part 51 is provided with a reinforcing frame 45 formed of a rectangularly cylindrical horizontal cross section having front and back walls 46a and 46b and left and right walls 46c and 46d. The upper outer periphery of the reinforcing frame 45 is provided with an edge reinforcing part 48 for reinforcing the back surface corresponding to the opening peripheral region of the burst opening part 51. A corresponding upper inner surface of the front and back walls 46a and 46b is provided with a projection suppressing piece 46 for absorbing air bag expansion pressure applied to a hinge part 49 of the burst opening part 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
