<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining information tracking system provided with a machining information storage device capable of easily and inexpensively performing follow-up survey of a product. <P>SOLUTION: A machining information tracking system is provided with an ID tag (31) having an IC memory storing machining and assembly information read and written and detachably attached to a work piece, a bar code (60) attached to the work piece and holding an identification number indigenous to the work piece, and a host computer (10) having a storage device (10a) storing the machining and assembly information transmitted from the ID tag through an antenna (71).
