PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacture method of a slot for optical fiber cable capable of suppressing the variation of pitch/inversion angle occurring during slot extrusion, and to provide the slot for optical fiber cable obtained thereby. SOLUTION: The rotation angleθof a tension member 11 is suppressed to≤100°, a jumping amount H is suppressed to <3 mm, thereby, the variation of pitch and inversion angle occurring during slot extrusion can be suppressed and the slot can be stable manufactured. Further, since the slot 10 having the inversion angle and pitch deviated from the standard is disposed of in the slot process, the manufacture of optical fiber cable 18 whose optical transmission loss is deteriorated is prevented in its early stages and, as a result, the efficiency of production can be enhanced.
