PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent battery consumption by appropriately restricting the download of data when utilizing an incorporated battery as a power source. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for storing cumulative data which are transmitted by digital broadcasting, in a nonvolatile memory 24 and reading out the data, the apparatus is configured to permit a user to preset conditions for carrying out storage processing and when an operating power source is an incorporated battery, data storage processing is carried out on the set conditions but when utilizing an external power source as the operating power source, it is set to carry out cumulative data storage processing regardless of the set conditions.
