<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen wastewater treatment apparatus which can efficiently decompose and digest oils and fats in kitchen wastewater of a hotel, a restaurant, a tenant building, or the like, and stably reduce the amounts of oils and fats contained in purified water discharged to sewer, or the like, and a method for treating the kitchen wastewater. <P>SOLUTION: The kitchen wastewater treatment apparatus comprises an enzyme treatment part 9 that treats the oils and fats in the wastewater with an enzyme agent, and a biological treatment part 10 that treats organic matters in the wastewater treated in the enzyme treatment part 9 with microorganisms stuck to an organism carrier 6.
