<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate loss of time in receiving a ticket utilizing a contactless IC card sets among contctless IC cards and tickets at the entrance of a turnpike in which either one of the contactless IC cards or tickets can be used. <P>SOLUTION: This pay-for-distance system is equipped with an entrance detection device 11 which detects a vehicle entering the entrance lane of a turnpike, an entrance R/W13 which reads information by performing radio-communication with the contactless IC card of the vehicle entering the lane, and an automatic ticket issuing machine 12. The automatic ticket issuing machine 12 is equipped with a ticket issuing mechanism 123 which issues a ticket when entrance of the vehicle to the lane is detected; a ticket recovery mechanism 124 which receives a ticket; and a controller 121 which performs control to check the information on the contact IC cards when read by the entrance R/W13, and, when the check result is normal, send the entrance information to the entrance R/W13 to be written in the contactless IC cards, and at the same time make the ticket recovery mechanism 124 receive the ticket. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
