<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp drive controlling apparatus which can suppress the rush current at the start of lighting of a lamp and can be good in the lighting property of the lamp, when a power supply time and a power supply frequency to the lamp is controlled by a PWM control or the like to supply electric power to the lamp having a rated voltage lower than a supply voltage from a power supply section having a specified supply voltage. <P>SOLUTION: At the start of lighting of the lamp, the lamp drive controlling apparatus performs an initial lighting control that the power supply time to the lamp is set to a value lower than a steady-state power supply time, and the power supply frequency to the lamp is set to a value higher than a steady-state power supply frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
