PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve steering stability while maintaining riding comfort, a rim assembling property and bead durability. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is furnished with a bead reinforcing layer 9 which is constituted of a reinforcing ply 9A having reinforcing cords arranged at 10 to 60 degrees against the tire peripheral direction on the outside in the tire axial direction of bead apex rubber 8, and the height Ha of the layer 9 is 2.5 to 3.0 times of flange height Hf. The bead apex rubber 8 is made of a cross-section triangular apex main body part 8A of height Hp which is 1.8 to 3.0 times of the flange height Hf and a thin plate type blade part 8B. Thickness (t) of the blade part 8B is made 1.0 to 2.0 times of a carcass cord diameter D, and the total height Hb of the bead apex rubber 8 is made more than 3.5 times of the flange height Hf.
