PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of drawing and displaying it by using a memory with a small capacity without using a frame memory for one picture, a dedicated local memory, etc. SOLUTION: The image display device is equipped with a buffer memory (5) which has two data storage areas, outputs data for image display from the two data storage areas alternately in specified timing, and stores data for image display following the precedently outputted data for image display in a data storage area for next output, an address converting means (6) of converting a virtual address determined for a virtually formed image frame according to an optionally determined pixel size of image data into a physical address of the buffer memory (5), and a pixel converting means (7) of converting the pixel size of the image data into the pixel size of data for image display and regarding it as the data for image display.
