PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient clip board and shield usable as a protective shield capable of repulsing an opponent. SOLUTION: In this shield, a flat plate-like or curved shield body 2 has a clip 3 for clipping a sheet on at least the upper part or side end part of the surface thereof, and a handle 5 capable of containing a tear gas spray 6 on the reverse side thereof. The gas injection nozzle 7 of the tear gas spray 6 is opposed to the surface of the shield body 2 through an opening part 2a of the shield body 2. A transparent or translucent sheet 11 having one end part supported so as to be capable of nipping the sheet 4 with the shield body 2 is further provided on at least the upper part or side end part of the surface of the shield body 2, whereby this shield can be used also as a display panel for advertisement or the like.
