PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental composition of a single component in which a polymerizable compound having an acidic group and a reducing agent such as a tertiary amine, etc., co-present in the presence of water, and without being cured with time in its preservation. SOLUTION: This dental composition is obtained by adding aluminum oxide powder into a system in which the polymerizable compound having the acidic group and the reducing agent such as the tertiary amine, etc., co-present in the presence of water. In this case, it is preferable that≤0.4 mol equivalent acidic group of the polymerizable compound having the acidic group and≤0.05 mol equivalent reducing site of the reducing agent per 100 m<SP>2</SP>specific surface area of the aluminum oxide are blended. Also, as the blending ratio, it is preferable to blend 3-35 pt. wt. polymerizable compound having the acidic group, 0.1-5 pt. wt. reducing agent, 10-55 pt. wt. water and 0.1-5 pt. wt. aluminum oxide powder.
