PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device provided with a monitoring means capable of monitoring the state of a member and instructing the start of the monitoring by providing an IC tag storing identification information on one of the members of the device and communicating with the IC tag without contacting. SOLUTION: The IC tag 86 for monitoring is provided on a place to monitor, for instance, an opening/closing door of a big winning port in a pachinko game machine, lids of cases 80, 81 and 82 housing a board for controlling the pachinko game machine. A start button 75 is provided on an R/W board 31 for controlling communication with the IC tag 86 for monitoring, and when the start button 75 is pressed, a start flag for the IC tag 86 for monitoring with which the communication is normally performed is turned "ON" and monitoring is started. Then, when abnormality is generated in the communication with the IC tag 86 for monitoring, monitoring information such as the generation date and time of the abnormality and the contents of the abnormality is stored in the R/W board 31.
