PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic shield room for a magnetic resonance imaging device in which the openess of the wall surfaces of the magnetic shield room is achieved and the limitations of the size and installation position of an inspection window and a gateway are reduced. SOLUTION: On the side face of the magnetic shield room, a set of coils 3a, 3b are arranged such that the surfaces of the coils 3a and 3b are parallel to the side face of the magnetic shield room. The respective coils 3a and 3b are arranged respectively in a +Z region and a -Z region separated by the equatorial plane of a center magnetic field by a magnet 2. A current is made to flow to the coil 3a so as to generate a magnetic field toward the inner side of the magnetic shield room and the coil 3b is made to generate the magnetic field toward the outer side of the magnetic shield room. Thus, the peripheral direction leakage magnetic field of a magnetic field center by the magnet 2 is efficiently suppressed and the size limitations of the inspection window and the gateway on the wall surface are reduced.
