Opening for percutaneous dilatation tracheotomy comprises a tubular, radially expandable opening body for introducing a tracheotomy tube (22). The opening body is positioned in the region of an opening in a body leading into the trachea (29) and is provided at one end with a strap-like securing device (16) adjoining the opening body. The securing device absorbs forces exerted on the opening body on insertion of the tracheotomy tube into the opening body. Preferred Features: The opening body and the securing device are made in one piece.
