A linear bearing with adjustable play has a support rail (2) with a profiled guide slot into which is fitted a correspondingly shaped grip supporting a slider (3). The grip includes an adjustable guide flange (11) which sets the amount of bearing play and by means of which the bearing can be blocked. The guide flange is supported on an elastically deformable mounting (12) and is adjusted by screw adjusters (15) spaced along the fitting.
