PURPOSE: A power supply apparatus of an arc applying device is provided to reduce the size and the weight of the power supply apparatus by using a semiconductor switching element, and to restrict imbalance of input voltage by preventing overload of an inverter. CONSTITUTION: Alternating current is converted into direct current from an alternating current input end(1) by an input rectifier(2), and direct current is converted into high frequency power to a first inverter(3) and a second inverter(4) connected to the output unit of the input rectifier. Voltage is transformed, and rectified by output rectifiers(7,8) to supply direct current to the load. A high frequency transformer is connected to the output unit of the inverter. A voltage balance control unit(53) supplies direct current voltage to the input end of the inverter by converting series and parallel in connecting the output end of the input rectifier to the input end of the inverter, and restricts imbalance of voltage between the input end of the first inverter and the input end of the second inverter.
