Fabrication of a gel attracting insects consists of addition of high absorption crystals to trimethylamine and ammonium acetate solutions

The fabrication of a gel attracting insects comprises forming of a 0.5:5 per cent trimethylamine solution and of a 10:30 per cent ammonium acetate solution. Crystals of e.g. polyacrylamide capable of absorbing 200 fold their weight of water are then added to the solutions, to form gels. EMBODIMENT - Mixing of the two gels (1:1) gives a homogeneous volatile product attracting the insects into a trap.
