JELLY ROLL TYPE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY AND SECONDARY BATTERY ADOPTING THIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent position failure of a negative electrode tab by minimizing deformation generating in a negative electrode plain part in a process winding a negative plate together with a positive plate and a separator in a jelly roll type electrode assembly and a secondary battery adopting this.

SOLUTION: The jelly roll type electrode assembly is equipped with the negative plate 111 positioned in the most internal angle in winding and having the negative electrode plain part; the positive plate 115 positioned in the most internal angle in winding and having a positive electrode plain part; the separator; and the negative electrode tab 121 and a positive electrode tab 122 electrically connected to the negative electrode plain part 114 and the positive electrode plain part 118, and the secondary battery contains the jelly roll type electrode assembly in which the width of the negative electrode plain part is 2-3 times the width of the negative electrode tab 121; a case in which the electrode assembly is housed; and a cover for sealing the battery by being fused with the case.
