<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicast communication system and its control method, which are inexpensive and require authentication. <P>SOLUTION: The snooping apparatus is installed between a client device and a routing device, the snooping apparatus is an apparatus for snooping an IGMP receiving request with authentication, transmitting the receiving request to the routing device as it is, creating a packet to be transmitted to an authentication server by the routing device instead of creating a packet to be transmitted to the authentication server, and copying multicast data which is received from the routing device to the client device which requests the data, for transmission. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
