PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring load measuring method capable of highly precisely measuring the load of a spring. SOLUTION: In the spring load method, a load measuring apparatus 300 is brought into contact with a spring 200 to be measured to measure its load when the spring is at a prescribed heightδT. The method comprises both a step (a) for measuring the height of a part 310, F of the load measuring apparatus in direct or indirect contact with the spring and a step (b) for measuring the load PA through the use of the result of height measurement when the spring is at the prescribed height.
