PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer which can form good images by solving the trouble because of ink passed through a mesh-shaped recording medium. SOLUTION: The ink-jet printer 1 forms the image by discharging an ultraviolet curing ink from ink-jet system recording heads 5, 6, 7 and 8 onto the mesh-shaped recording medium 99 supported by a platen 2, and then hardens and fixes the ink placed on the recording medium by irradiating ultraviolet rays from ultraviolet irradiation devices 9 and 10.
