PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera frame assembly in which a protruding component part that receives shock can safely be gripped by an easily releasable hook and to provide a recycling method. SOLUTION: The camera frame asembly has a frame. A lens mount has one or more hooks that grip the frame. A backer dogs the hooks agains the frame. In camera recycling, the hooks are first undogged to provide access. The hooks are then released from the camera frame. Following the releasing, the lens mount is separated from the camera frame. the backer can include a baffle that defines an exposure opening aligned with the optical axis of the lens mount.
