PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information analysis support system for supporting various operations ( including document retrieval or the processing or tabulation of the retrieval results widely ) intended for a plurality of electronic documents and performed by a user as a portion of information analysis. SOLUTION: Desired components are dragged and dropped from a component list 700 to an edition view 702 on the picture of a client, and are connected by a connector, and the components to be executed and the order of the execution are defined. This definition is stored in a server as a "knowledge filter"(which is a filter for extracting desired information from among a large amount of electronic documents in desired configurations, and substantially, an XML file), and the server is started from any client in this system, and a series of processing defined as mentioned above is executed by the server, and the execution result is received by the client.
