PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an elastic roller with a shaft by smoothly inserting the shaft into a hollow part of a tube. SOLUTION: An insertion guide is set at a shaft insertion side of the tube, the insertion guide is composed of spring steel having a conical cylindrical part formed continuously from a tip of a cylindrical part, the conical cylindrical part is expandably composed of a plurality of plate-shaped blades, an outer diameter of a tip of the conical cylindrical part is smaller than the hollow part of the tube, on the other hand, an inner diameter of the cylindrical part is larger than an outer diameter of the shaft, and an outer diameter of the cylindrical part is smaller than an outer diameter of the tube, the insertion guide is set on an insertion end face of the tube, a tip of the conical cylindrical part of the insertion guide is inserted into the hollow part of the tube by a desired dimension, the shaft is inserted into the insertion guide, and the plate-shaped blades of the conical cylindrical part are expanded and press-fitted into the hollow part of the tube.
