PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for fastening a control cable, by which member, malfunctions of the control cable are reduced in spite of its compact and simple structure of components. SOLUTION: The member for fastening the control cable comprises a fastening body 20 having an insertion hole, into which an engaging portion 13 of the tubular control cable 10 having a tubular engaging portion 13 having first engaging teeth on its outside periphery is inserted, and a window hole intersecting the insertion hole in the depth thereof, and a key member 30 which is received in the window hole and has second engaging teeth engaging with the first engaging teeth. The fastening main body 20 and the key member 30 comprise a holding section, which receives the key member 30 in the window hole in the state that the first engaging teeth do not engage with the second engaging teeth and temporarily fixes the key member 30 to the window hole, and a locking section for engaging the first engaging teeth with the second engaging teeth by releasing the temporary fixing by means of an operating section provided on the key member 30.
