PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus for performing optimum drying treatment corresponding to treatment conditions. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a drying chamber 11 for storing garbage; an agitator body 2 for agitating the garbage in the drying chamber 11; a heating means 3 for heating the garbage in the drying chamber 11; air passages 12, 19 for supplying ambient air into the drying chamber 11 and discharging the air in the drying chamber 11 to the outside; air blowing means 15, 22 disposed in the air passage 12, 19; a first temperature sensor 17 for detecting the temperature of the air discharged from the drying chamber 11 to the outside; and a control part 36 for finishing the drying treatment of the garbage when the first temperature sensor 17 detects a prescribed temperature. The control part 36 corrects the prescribed temperature on the basis of the output of the second temperature sensor 24 for detecting the temperature of the air supplied to the drying chamber 11.
