The invention relates to an SAW filter with improved selection or insulation. A metal protective structure is arranged between both acoustic tracks of an SAW filter which is embodied on the surface of a piezoelectric substrate in order to protect two converters which are arranged in different tracks and which are connected to the ground. As a result, crosstalk is prevented within the filter and blocking selection is improved.
