A photovoltaic panel (10) provided with means (310, 320, 330) for optimizing the output thereof, means consisting of a converter (310, 320, 330) for displacement of the voltage and/or current operating point of the panel during the operation of said panel in the direction of an increase in the output thereof, said panel also comprising means for detecting a situation of theft (310, 315) whereby the electricity production function of said panel is neutralized in reaction to said theft. The panel is characterized in that the optimization means include digital processing means (310) and in that the means for neutralizing the panel consist at least partially of said digital processing means (310).
