In tunneling by Shield Tunnel Boring Machine, linings are installed by assembling segments (5) as a tunnel is bored. Direct bolts are used in assembly of segments. Because of structural characteristics, however, there is water leakage around the Bolt. Watertight bolt with expanded head under which rubber packing can be inserted will prevent such water leakage. |
