THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER RESIN AND RESIN COMPOSITION, INSULATED ELECTRIC WIRE, CABLE AND TUBE USING THEM, AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR INSULATED ELECTRIC WIRE AND CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic polyester resin and the like which are capable of sufficiently preventing generation of scratches at extrusion molding and imparting heat aging resistance and flexibility to an insulated electric wire and the like; to provide the insulated electric wire and the like using them; and to provide a production method for the insulated electric wire and the like.

SOLUTION: The thermoplastic polyester resin is obtained by polycondensation of total carboxylic acid components comprising a dicarboxylic acid component, with a diol component. Wherein the total carboxylic acid components contain ≤75 mol% p-substituted aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 0.5-15 mol% carbon-carbon double bond-having dicarboxylic acid as the dicarboxylic acid component, and a hydroxycarboxylic acid unit, and the diol component comprises a 2-8C aliphatic diol. A conductive material sheathed with the resin, can be wound to a bobbin at a linear velocity of ≥150 m/min, by sufficiently being prevented from generation of scratches. The resin also imparts heat aging resistance and flexibility to the sheathing material.
