<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a liquid crystal display element whose terminal part is one unidirectional taking-out type not have a partial difference at a cell gap prescribed by a peripheral seal material. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display element is provided with a liquid crystal cell formed by pressing across the peripheral seal material an observation-surface side transparent substrate 10 which has the terminal part 13 and a reverse-surface side transparent substrate 20 having on its internal surface color filters 21 having reflection parts and transmission parts by pixels, and has a transparent electrode 23 of the reverse-surface side transparent substrate electrically connected to a specified lead-out electrode 13b of the terminal part 13 through a transfer peripheral seal material 310 containing conductive particles.
