PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller and thinner camera with improved portability without miniaturizing an image display and a lens-barrel. SOLUTION: This camera comprises an imaging apparatus having an imaging optical system, a lens-barrel, an imaging device, an imaging device mounting member, an imaging device holding means for holding the imaging device mounting member, and a printed board, and a display unit for displaying a subject image. The imaging device mounting member and the display unit are arranged in such a positional relationship that they are not overlapped with each other when seen from the direction of the optical axis and they are overlapped with each other when viewed from the horizontal direction perpendicular to the optical axis. The imaging device mounting member comprises a first mounting surface for fixing the imaging device and a second mounting surface for fixing the imaging device mounting member to the imaging device holding mean.
