PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive composition for improving cold flow properties of fuel oils. SOLUTION: The fuel oil composition comprises a major proportion of a fuel oil and 0.1 to 10,000 ppm of a polymeric condensation product formed by the reacting an aliphatic aldehyde or ketone or a reactive equivalent with one of the following (i) to (iii), (i) a straight or branched chain 1-7C alkyl ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, (ii) a branched chain 8-16C alkyl ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid or (iii) a mixture of long chain 8-18C alkyl esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, wherein, at least one of the alkyls is branched.
