PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner provided with a structure not degrading the accuracy when attaching a parallel light unit to the optical scanner with high accuracy, and to provide the parallel light unit. SOLUTION: Even if a substrate 43 connected with the lead wires of a laser diode 41 rises in temperature and expands, opening parts 43c, 43d absorb the strain, and so a lamination of a laser diode holder 42 and the substrate 43 is not warped and curved, nor is the position of a laser diode 41 shifted in the direction of Z.
