PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which, even when a contact type temperature detection means is used as a non-contact type temperature detection means, the temperature detecting accuracy and responsiveness of the temperature detection means are improved without causing the parts cost and the working cost for attachment to be increased. SOLUTION: In the fixing device, the contact type temperature detection means used so that a temperature detection element is brought into contact with a member to be detected is used as the non-contact type temperature detection means arranged separately from the member to be detected. The fixing device is provided with a support member supporting the part of the temperature detection element of the contact type temperature detection means so as to be close to the surface of the member to be detected by a fixed distance.
