PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal equipped with a plurality of antennas for selecting an antenna with the best reception sensitivity by antenna switching as the mobile communication terminal reaches a high level of downsizing by solving a problem of a conventional mobile communication terminal that the antenna with the best reception sensitivity cannot always be selected and used. SOLUTION: When the mobile phone equipped with a plurality of antennas receives PICH data from a base station in a step 42 and detects the presence of PCH information, the mobile phone succeedingly receives PCH data transmitted from the base station as shown in a step 47. The mobile phone compares a measurement result of a reception electric field level of a CPICH radio wave of an antenna not in use at present with a reception electric field level of an antenna un use at present by using the reception of the data as a trigger and selects a built-in antenna whose reception electric field level is better.
