PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying and isolating a nucleic acid stably in high yield. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of (1) adding an organic solvent at -5 to 55°C to a solution containing the nucleic acid and a high-concentration salt and (2) adsorbing the nucleic acid to a carrier, thus improving the collection yield of the nucleic acid with slight variation in its collection.
