The invention relates to a faucet having a closing device that includes an initial structure such as the one disclosed in patent 200002418, albeit with important improvements. These improvements are fundamentally based on the inclusion of a new rigid part (24) that replaces the back rubber included in said patent, thereby providing better operation of the device and smooth final damping in the filling of the cistern. The improvements also include a lever system forming an articulated parallelogram basically consisting of a tilting arm (7) hinging in the structure of the faucet, a top connecting rod (15) and a secondary lever (16) associated with said connecting rod (15), said lever acting directly upon the piston (2). This lever structure prevents deviations and lateral torsions. Another characteristic of the invention is the inclusion of a device preventing the water of the cistern from returning to the water network when a depression or aspiration occurs as a result of interruption in the supply of water or any other unjustified anomaly.
