PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wort and a malt extract each having extremely high content of GABA, to provide a method for producing the wort and the malt extract, and non-alcoholic food and drink containing the wort and the malt extract.

SOLUTION: A wheat germ extract (malt extract) contains wort containing ≥90 mg of GABA based on 100g of a soluble solid, and ≥90 mg of GABA based on 100g of wort and a soluble solid.
