<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable separation and removal of antimony ions in the electrolyte in a lead-acid battery. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte is electrolyzed by using a conductor capable of resisting anodization in a dilute sulfuric acid as an anode, and a conductor insoluble to the dilute sulfuric acid as a cathode.
