<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic building material which effectively uses sludge being a waste generated in large quantities at a step of manufacturing lime and doromite from a crude ore, which can be easily installed in a short time without requiring a special construction technology while an advantage of a conventional lime-based/dolomite-based building material is maintained. <P>SOLUTION: A raw material (I) which is the lime-based and/or doromite-based water washed sludge, a raw material (II) which is the soil containing SiO<SB>2</SB>, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>in a ratio of 1.00:(0.20-0.50):(0.05-0.20) by molar ratio and containing an amorphous material and a raw material (III) which is the calcium oxide obtained by lightly calcining calcium carbonate are used. The raw materials (I)-(III) are mixed and granulated so that a cement index CI determined from the formula: CI=(2.8×SiO<SB>2</SB>+1.1×Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>+0.7×Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>)/(CaO +1.4×MgO) based on a content of SiO<SB>2</SB>, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, CaO and MgO may be in a range of 0.3-1.0, then the granulated material is fired in a range of 1,150-1,300°C, then the fired material is digested. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
