<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a knee air bag module that has rigidity enough to receive reaction force at a development time of a knee air bag and absorbs energy when the energy absorption of the knee air bag is insufficient and the knee section of an occupant pushes a reaction can. <P>SOLUTION: The mounting structure has a fastening means 14 that relatively displaceably fastens a mounting bracket 5 and a reaction can 11 for storing the knee air bag and an inflater of the knee air bag module 1 that is faced with the knee section 3 of the occupant and fixed to a car body via the mounting bracket 5, and that displaces them with plastic deformation when a load pressing the reaction can increases. The reaction is displaced while absorbing the load when the load pressing the knee air bag from the knee section increases at a collision time of the vehicle, thereby absorbing the energy to protect the knee section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
