DATA TRANSMITTER, DATA RECEIVER AND RESTRICTED RECEIVING SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize independent view control in the unit of an element (data element) constituting one program in contrast to view control in the unit of a channel or in the unit of a program in a conventional restricted receiving system.

SOLUTION: A data element (Elementary Stream, ES) that may be viewed on each receiver or a set of such data elements is transmitted as a view-permitted ES list together with a Kw (Work key) by using an EMM (Entitlement Management Message). Further, when transmitting a Ks (Scramble Key) that is a key for decrypting each ES, ES identification information indicating the identifications of ESs on the view permitted ES list is transmitted together with the Ks by using an ECM (Entitlement Control Message), thereby realizing view control in the unit of an ES.
