PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate phase jitter components generated in retiming for demodulation processing to improve accuracy for detection output of a phase detection circuit. SOLUTION: A limiter amplifier 10 generates a binary quantizing signal from a received IF frequency signal, a phase detection circuit 20 detects a phase value from a timing of leading and trailing of the binary quantizing signal; a retiming circuit 30 conducts retiming of the detected phase value at a predetermined sample rate, and a phase smoothing circuit 40 smoothes and suppresses jitter components of the phase value generated in the occasion.
