PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fiber-containing optical transmission medium that has as small an outer diameter as possible at the end face on the converging end of a split connector and that thereby enables uniform and full incident or exiting light quantity to be obtained. SOLUTION: A primary coated optical fiber bundle (1) with an end face (3a) circularly converged at one end is bisected at the other end into independent primary coated optical fiber bundles (2A).
