PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an industrially useful alicyclic diepoxy compound. SOLUTION: The method for producing the alicyclic diepoxy compound comprises the step(A) of carrying out a nuclear hydrogenation reaction of a dihydroxynaphthalene into a decahydronaphthalenediol in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, the step(B) of carrying out a dehydration reaction of the resultant decahydronaphthalenediol into hexahydronaphthalene in the presence of an acid catalyst, and the step(C) of carrying out an epoxidizing reaction of the resultant hexahydronaphthalene into the objective diepoxydecahydronaphthalene using a percarboxylic acid.
