PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a garnish wherein working man-days and cost for coating are reduced, color matching of color of the coating of the garnish and color of the coating of a vehicle constituting part on which this garnish is mounted is favorably carried out, and damage to the garnish and the vehicle constituting part at the time of assembly is prevented. SOLUTION: The garnish 3 is constituted so as to be temporarily held at a position in front of a regular assembling position against the vehicle constituting part by engaging an engaging partβfor temporary holding the garnish 3 with an engaged part (for example, mounting hole 8 of a front bumper 2) of the vehicle constituting part at the time of coating the vehicle constituting part (for example, the front bumper 2) and the garnish 3 by further providing the engaging partβfor temporary holding the garnish 3 on the engaging partαfor fixedly holding the garnish 3.
